2023 Summer JTT

Summer JTT League (Junior Team Tennis):

Dates:  6/10, 6/17,6/24,7/8,7/15.  Saturday afternoon, matches will begin at 1pm.  

Locations:  

• Liberty Bell Tennis Complex in Johnson City
• Ida Stone Jones Community Tennis Center in Bristol

Age Divisions & Skill Divisions

• 10&Under (Orange Ball, 60ft court)
• 12&Under (Green Ball/Yellow ball, full court, low intermediate level)
• 14&Under (Yellow ball, full court, intermediate/middle school varsity level)
• 18&Under (Yellow ball, full court, intermediate/high school varsity level)

**Teams playing in the Advanced divisions can compete directly at the state tournament

Team Rosters & Formats: 

• A team needs a minimum of 6 players rostered, no more than 10 players
• Local play: Co-ed, 2 singles and 2 doubles, minimum 4 players required for each match
• Teams going to State Champs need a minimum of 3 boys/3 girls, no more than 10 players

• Results will count towards the World Tennis Number (WTN#)

Registration/Fees:   

• Deadline for a team is 6/3. Individuals can register anytime. We will try to place you on a team.

• $30 (court fees, balls, maybe player’s gift/party (TBD), and league fees)

JTT State Championships:

• 7/21-23, Murfreesboro, TN
• Teams must register on TennisLink Team registration deadline Sunday, July 9
• Players need to play 2 local matches to qualify for the state championship.

Fall Middle School Tennis:

Dates:  9/9,9/16, 9/23, 10/7, 10/14. Saturday starts at 1pm.  10/21 (makeup match date)

Locations:  

• Liberty Bell Tennis Complex in Johnson city
• Ida Stone Jones Community Tennis Center in Bristol
• Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport

Formats: 

• Co-ed, 4 singles 2 doubles.
• A team needs at least 3 boys/3 girls (no more than 10) for state championship.  Local 6 players minimum, no upper limit.
• No Ad scoring, 6 game set, 10-point tiebreaker for 3rd set.  
• Rules: we will roughly follow JTT rules.  See link above.
• A School can have multiple teams, can have multiple teams to state championship.
• Tennis clubs are welcome to have their own teams with similar level, even younger players. 

Registration/Fees:

• Deadline for a team is 9/2. Individuals can register anytime.  We will try to place you on a team
